Talay Logistics Supports Sustainability with Integrated Green Logistics

Talay Logistics, working towards the goal of integrated green logistics, will put sustainability at the forefront of its sea, air and road freight, contract logistics and customs services.

With its brand transformation, Talay Logistics continues to maintain its leadership in green logistics. Now offering its services under its new brand identity in sea, air and road freight, contract logistics and customs services alongside intermodal transport, the company continues its work within the scope of its integrated green logistics goal. Yiğit Altıparmak, General Manager and Board Member of Talay Logistics, stated that the most important factor behind the rise of their business model and growth momentum is environmentally friendly intermodal transport. Noting that they offer cost-effective solutions to exporters and importers, Altıparmak said: “With our rail- and sea-integrated intermodal solutions, we have opened up a different space in logistics, one of the sectors responsible for the highest carbon emissions. As a result, we have covered hundreds of thousands of kilometres with minimum carbon emissions.” Pointing out that in 2023 they used intermodal transport instead of road transport in 80,000 operations, Altıparmak said this helped protect approximately 3.7 million trees, or 9,250 hectares of forest. Noting that they also prevented 80,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, Altıparmak said: “We saved 180 million kWh of energy and 30 million litres of diesel. By the end of 2024, we aim to increase the carbon emissions saved by 25% compared with last year.” Altıparmak stated that most of the 900 million TL they invested last year was focused on sustainability and green logistics. Explaining that they plan to increase the number of electric tractor units to more than 15 by 2030, Altıparmak said: “In addition, we will soon make Türkiye’s first electric trailer investment.”
